Ladies' Academy
We have a strong ladies Academy and make sure that every new lady golfer is supported on her journey from beginner (or a rusty returner) to full member by being allocated a Buddy.
We recognise that it can be daunting starting a new sport or a new club and so run regular Academy practice sessions, meetings and competitions to allow Academy members to get to know each other, the rest of the ladies section and learn the etiquette and Rules of Golf.
"I was never interested in golf, watching or playing. A friend coerced me into having a trial with the Pro at APGC, I loved it! I signed up to the APGC Academy and have been out in all weathers. I’ve met a great bunch of ladies who are so friendly. We’ve had golf away days and there’s been quiz nights and social evenings at the club. After 3 years in the Academy, I’ve just become a full member!"

We have several of our female members who are also happy to volunteer their time to meet with prospective new members for a game, or even for just a coffee and a chat and our Membership Administrator would be able to arrange this for you.
