Children & Young People Safeguarding Policy
Everyone working with children and young people has a responsibility for keeping them safe, irrespective of their role, whether they are paid members of staff or volunteers.

Ladies' Golf
Ladies Golf
Our welcoming, sociable women play on one of the top-rated golf courses in the area, 7 days a week, for as little as the equivalent of £41 per week.
The course is well draining, hardly ever closes and has superb greens, so you get the health benefits of being out in nature, away from the stresses and strains of daily life, having fun, playing social and competitive golf and socialising all year round.
There is good availability of tee times, so you have the flexibility to get on the course at the times that suit you and to play as many holes as you like, before you retire to the clubhouse for a drink, maybe a bite to eat and a chat. Many of the women play at weekends and/or on Tuesday and Thursday mornings but you will find people to play with every day of the week.
The ladies help new members settle in to club life, find people to play with and make new friends and they all find WhatsApp groups handy to help hook up with women who are free to play at the same times and to keep up to date with what is going on.

We have several of our female members who are also happy to volunteer their time to meet with prospective new members for a game, or even for just a coffee and a chat and our Membership Administrator would be able to arrange this for you.

Academy Ladies
We have a strong ladies Academy and make sure that every new lady golfer is supported on her journey from beginner (or a rusty returner) to full member by being allocated a Buddy.
We recognise that it can be daunting starting a new sport or a new club and so run regular Academy practice sessions, meetings and competitions to allow Academy members to get to know each other, the rest of the ladies section and learn the etiquette and Rules of Golf.

Women in Golf Charter
Our club has been committed to the Women in Golf Charter and to promoting women’s golf since 2021, and is always delighted to welcome new women members.
It recognises the work that we are doing in conjunction with England Golf to increase women and girls’ participation and membership in golf; to encourage more families to enjoy golf as a leisure activity; and to encourage more opportunities for women to work and volunteer in the golf industry.

We now join over 400 organisations worldwide who have committed to developing a more inclusive culture within golf.
Our commitments
- To develop and implement an internal strategy for enhancing gender balance at every level.
- To establish senior management responsibility and accountability for gender balance and inclusion, which is discussed and reviewed at Board level with Addington Palace Golf Club.
- To strongly advocate more women and girls playing and working in golf.
- To work with key stakeholders to develop and embed a more inclusive culture.
- To promote the Charter and our goal of encouraging more women and girls to play golf and work in golf.

Mens' Golf
Men's Golf
All-year-round playability, free draining course, great Greens and competitive Golf. If you are looking for a good test of Golf, then APGC will provide it for 12 months of the year.
We run regular monthly Medal and Stableford Competitions for both Full and Midweek members plus knock-outs in summer and winter for single and 4-ball play. With additional Board Events such as Club Championship, Captains Day and many others which you will be encouraged to join.
For more casual Golf we have a number of Roll Up groups that run across the week at set times, where you can turn up and play and meet other members and share a drink and stories afterwards. Plus, a popular 9 Hole casual comp every Thursday evening through the summer.
We also have a very strong Scratch team that play in a local winter league, and we actively put forward teams into Surrey events that cater across all handicap ranges.
Vets Section
Our thriving Vets Section is open to all male members who have reached the ripe old age of 55 and was established over 45 years ago to promote friendship and camaraderie between older members of the club.
Matches against 12 local clubs on a home and away basis are the mainstay of Vets membership, allowing us to play other courses for not much more than the price of a lunch and to enjoy the company of golfers from other clubs.
We have a full events calendar with our own Board Competitions, The Championship and The Summer Knockout being the most prestigious, plus regular qualifying and fun competitions.

Acknowledged as one of the finest courses in the South of England, we pride ourselves on being an exceptionally friendly and social club.
The Club have both weekend and mid week medal and stableford competitions each month. There are mens, ladies and mixed competitions all year. In addition, we run a series of knock-out tournaments, intra-club, and inter-club matches throughout the year, involving all sections of the club. Players of all abilities are encouraged to participate in these events.
We are proud to have a course that is playable all year round with exceptionally kept greens.
Ladies – For those of you new to golf, our Ladies Academy offers the perfect solution. Your membership fee includes fifteen 30 minute one-to-one lessons with our Professional.
